There it is again. The Sunday Void. The day backgrounds are consumed by nothingness.
It absolutely amazes me how little effort is put into these strips. You might say "oh, but look like many times he drew Heathcliff" except IT'S THE SAME POSE COPY-PASTED A MILLION TIMES JESUS CHRIST
Regular Heathcliff strips are pretty bad, but Sunday Heathcliff is in a league of its own.

ah yes, the telltale signs of autism, eating ham and enjoying pop culture references

I wish I were paid to write/draw absolute nonsensical crud for newspapers. I don't know about the lesser known comics, but these sunday funnies giants like Garfield and Heathcliff are probably paid more in a week than I am paid in a year.

Garfield probably, because there's still a lot of Garfield merch sold around the world, but Heathcilff, I don't know. I don't know how many newspapers still carry it, and I can't imagine Heathcliff merch being too hot.
I'm sure it's still enough for Gallagher to make a comfortable living out of half an hour a day of work, though. Or however long it takes to make these. That's something I'd really like to know.
