Were the show better paced, I wanted an episode where Bill offers to "help" Pacifica not be so much of a bitch. I felt that he should be at least somewhat involved in lives of the people on the wheel, and it fits with his nature of exploiting people's insecurities. If it happened after NWMM, then it would fit with her changing character, whether her personality was something she could change, or a result of her upbringing and family.

That would be a lot better.

Bill could have some episodes where he schemes wheel characters. It could develop their characters while making Bill a more fleshed out and more intimidating villain. If wish they had done episodes like that and given more characters arcs.

Wendy really needed some character development episodes too.

Well for one I'd steal one Anon's idea about different character's logos appearing on the Mabel prison as they were brainwashed, as to better convey that Bill's sorcery had them, and that it wasn't just them suddenly being assholes, and from there I'd probably work on a storyline where Mabel has to really understand the consequences of her actions, and comes to the realization that just because Dipper will be off with Ford exploring and sciencing and shit, that it doesn't mean Mabel's whole life will end and that Dipper isn't on the planet to serve her needs.

I dunno, its like they built up how she'd eventually have to grow up and learn... and then nothing.

I also would have given the show a 3rd season, and ended it mostly the same way, just given it another season for better character development. Just a few things, I guess.

The bubble just needed to be way more convincing and more actually disorienting and confusing for the episode to work. Instead it's this chintzy obviously fake obnoxious environment that everyone succumbs too though it's not clear they're brainwashed and it's obvious it's not real and the world is ending so it seems silly. But if they couldn't tell what was real and what wasn't and though maybe the world ending was just a nightmare it would be understandable. Like the Mad Hatter episode of Batman the Animated Series where Batman didn't know it was an illusion.

That episode was poorly written in general. I've seen a lot of people claim that Bill wiped Mabel's memory of of giving him the rift, and that's why she never mentions it, but it's written vaguely enough that she cold easily just be lying about it.

It's also not even clear why Bill bothers to put her there in the first place instead of killing her (smart choice) or just leaving her passed out on the ground. When they said a lot of ideas from Dreamscaperers and them visiting all the characters' Mindscapes got put in the ep., it made a lot more sense as just a dumping ground for old ideas about Mabel's mind that they wanted to use. In an earlier episode it would have been amusing but the ep had no emotional weight outside of the flashback so it was a letdown I thought. It didn't really resolve the conflict because Mabel will still have to accept Dipper moving away or something someday and Mabel doesn't grow or change at all in the episode. Not wanting to grow up is a different thing than wanting to live in a Lisa Frank Trapper Keeper anyway, it didn't get at the big conflict with her character, she was an extrovert who liked real life she just wanted it to always stay the same which is what she wished for, not a bunch of talking waffles and shit.
