Hall monitors exist and they never seem to go to class
>>
>>90810675
Did they ever exist? At most for my large high school I had five minutes between classes. The fuck are you going to "monitor" in that time?
>>
>>90810675
The restrooms are too clean
>>
>>90810725
Grand theft bicycle and milk trafficking, obviously
>>
>>90810675
All my school were outside buildings. Never had hallways or those lockers you can shove kids into. Just small lockers for book, might be a West coast thing.
>>
Until now I had completely forgotten about the existence of this thing. Good god.

>Bullies were poor people with bad childhoods
>All rich people are snobs and jerks

Neither were true from what I saw.
>>
Fun fact: the creator of Filmore is now the showrunner for The Walking Dead.

You have him to thank for that bullshit Negan cliffhanger from last year.
>>
>>90812909
I remember a little of both, though it was never universal
>>
>>90810725
I had security guards and a cop at my school. never any student hall monitors.
>>
>>90813519
Did you go to school in Detroit?
>>
>>90810675
>enough time in between classes to get up to trouble
>an okayish/pretty looking girl has no friends and is picked on
>some sort of secret hangout place in the school the adults didn't check

the last one i'm talking about the ashleys' place in recess
>>
>>90813093
This. Although honestly, a lot of bullies came from good families; they were just conceited as fuck. And a lot of the rich people really were snobby as hell too.

Lockers exist in elementary school and you will be able to store hockey sticks or other large things inside them.

Detention existed in elementary schools.

I don't know, maybe I just went to a hippie school when I was a kid, but there was just never such a thing. Middle school and high school had "in-school suspension" though, which I guess was detention.

I was a goodie two-shoes student though so I never even got a pink referral ever.
>>
>>90813909
I don't remember it in elementary, but it was definitely a thing in middle and high school. I don't think I've ever seen a show with detention in elementary, though. If you're using Detention as an example, I think that was a middle school.
>>
>>90814078
I've barely seen Detention so I thought it was middle school.

I'm certain I've seen it used in elementary schools in cartoons, though. Like Recess or something.
>>
>>90814104
*I thought it was elementary school
>>
Never in my fucking life have I ever seen a science fair, let alone a baking soda volcano.
>>
>>90813909
>had detention shitloads of time in primary school
>the punishment for not going was more detention
>they never forced me to go
I wonder how many I racked up

I also had afterschool detention nearly every day in highschool and was suspended plenty of times. My school also had a "planning room" which was a demount-able you got sent to if you were a shithead in class. many a period spent there
>>
>>90813039
No wonder the show went from 0 to kino real quick. Fillmore is severely underrated.
>>
>>90813039
Wasn't the cliffhanger something cribbed directly from the comics? That part where Negan has clearly beaten SOMEONE to death from Rick's side, but you don't find out who until the next issue?
>>
>>90813526
Not him, but I went to a pretty well-off middle class suburban school and we had a couple security guards and a cop who hung around sometimes.

America's just a mess all around.
>>
i went to a nice elementary school on the east coast and I was a hall monitor

but i didnt actually monitor any halls really, I was only on duty when i got to school and when i was leaving

my job was mostly to tell other kids not to run, but i also did a lot of escort jobs lmao

by that i mean i helped 1st and 2nd graders find their bus/classroom
>>
>>90813526
Even my highschool in a rich white neighborhood in NorCal had a cop there at all times

Times are different
>>
>>90813526
My high school also had a cop, but only in the entrance/atrium which was right next to the cafeteria.
>>
>>90810725

We had student "Patrols"; 5th-graders who acted as crossing guards, broke up or reported fights, sometimes chipped ice off the playground (northern state, lots of ice) with a big chisel/harpoon-lookin thing, kept an eye on places where the playground teacher wasn't.

They got to wear fluorescent orange web-belts (around the waist, and up over the left shoulder) with a shiny gold buckle. Some of them were decent, a lot were dicks, some were right cunts.

Christ, I'm fucking old.
>>
>>90813909
I got in trouble alot in my elementary school because I got in fights with other kids, my school had both in school suspension and detention which consisted of sitting in the music room during recess for detention, or sitting in an empty by yourself and a teacher the entire school day.
>>
>>90814290
I'm from California too, and in both middle & high school there were security guards. One of them asked me if I went on 4chan, once, and when I said no he accused me of lying.
>>
>>90814727
we had a cop at our high school at all times and it was needed because every other day they were needed to break up a fight or investigate a bomb threat. one kid was even stabbed in the cafeteria not 20 steps away from me.
>>
>all these cops in schools
What is up with America?
>>
>>90815160
Very loose weapon laws, any 13 y/o can buy tactical knives at the local wal-mart for 10 ameribucks since the employees dont give a shit. that's how it is in my town anyway.
