I think that you guys miss the point of some things.

I dont know if they would be able to hurt Aku, but they were more indestructible than him, for being a higher tier of magic by great gods, while Aku seems to be on the same level that the spirit water elemental of Earth.

But its pretty obvious that Aku most OP skill is his regeneration, if it wasnt by it, he could be killed by a good chink of the bounty hunters that he sends after Jack - that usually gives more of a challenge to him, than Aku.


Every fight of Jack against Aku ends with Aku being destroyed in few minutes, and you can SEE that Jack had struggled more with other foes. The only fight where Aku was a scary as fuck menace and clearly outclassed Jack, was when Jack didnt had his sword, and could not even wound him in any way.

I think it's like in the LoZ Ocarina timesplit, two timelines are created, one where the saved future continues but without a hero, as he travels back to the past. So they're doomed if the evil is revived (Windwaker). The past is also saved by the hero when he travels back in time and there he remains (Majora's Mask).
