I'd say it's not as great as certain parts of those shows, but Iron Fist is probably the only one out of the bunch that is consistently good. Not amazing, but good. OK, I have seen the first 4 episodes and I want to address one of the main criticisms of the series that was made when the first batch of reviews was released. I'm talking about the whole "mansplaining" thing.

The reviews made it seem like Danny was underestimating Colleen abilities when explaining how to do martial arts right, but it is shown that Collen really lacks a lot of discipline, is very emotional/arrogant/angry when fighting and does not concern herself about spending the least amount of energy to take down an oponnent. She also doesn't care about the lack of discipline of her students, even when she herself told Danny about how she teaches them martial arts so they can defend themselves from bullies and their own abusive families. Also, she can't even fix her own finger.

All those reviews made her seem like a very competent martial artist and teacher when she clearly isn't. All Danny was doing is give her some useful advice and now thanks to SJW, that's called mansplaining.

I feel like the one big thing I would have changed was to show more of Danny's time in Kun Lun. He talks a lot about his memories and his times there, but I feel like it should have been split 50/50 with his reintroduction into the modern world.
Culminating with him becoming the Iron Fist, with him beating all the baddies. I just got to the bit where he gets his brand, and I feel like it doesn't carry any weight because we didn't see any of the build up to it.

I can't wait for this Hand bullshit to be over. They're so uninteresting as villains.

This actually got markedly better in the second half. The first few episodes were pretty dire though. In general, the biggest weakness with the fights was that they were often choreographed about 25% too slow.

That's the thing, though, many people will disagree with me, but Alias isn't really a Jessica Jones story, it's a Purple Man story. The first arcs without him are neat for context and build up, but they are nothing special.

The choreography is slow and stunted and because the camera for some reasons actually does the what should be a good thing of showing the blow being launched and landed, it looks all the more worse.

The Taken 3 level cuts of the record room was bad but the cage one was almost the stereotype of the seasons issues.

It doesn't look rehearsed or very well planned, it's too slow and the movements are really awkward. Not "guise these people aren't real fighters or being realistic" awkward, "did you literally only do an hour of rehearsal before shooting" awkward.
