The idea the mutants should respond to oppression with devastating force was right. Even MLK wasn't an advocate of simply walking meekly into concentration camps; the dude said that if an oppressed minority faces extreme violence and has the means to fight back, it should.

Cyclops was the perfect balance between him and Xavier before Bendis neutered him. Mutants aren't superior, but they'll give you a superior ass kicking if you mess with them. I still find it hilarious that many X-Men had a problem with killing Purifiers and the like.
