I am baffled at Sony's seemingly retarded behavior here. If it's not part of the MCU, why even bother? The whole reason people wanted Spider-Man in the MCU was so that we could have all the toys in the toybox, people like to see their favorite characters crossover. Plus, if Sony does their own non-MCU Venom, that pretty much restricts the MCU from doing the character due to possible confusion, plus it'd be tacky to have two separate on-screen Venoms. Also, if it's non-MCU, do they even mention Spider-Man or not? It certainly wouldn't be the Tom Holland version, which is dumb as shit. If they don't include Spider-Man, and it's not in the MCU then why even bother in the first place?!

Now, if it is set in the MCU, that's a whole other pile of stupid. Spider-Man was just introduced in the MCU in 2016, it's way too early to be doing the symbiote storyline. Eddie Brock (and it sure as shit better be Brock) should be set up over more than one movie, and with the current Spider-Man-related-MCU release schedule (Homecoming, Infinity War 1, Venom, Infinity War 2, Homecoming 2), that just doesn't seem feasible. So ultimately no matter what they're plan is, it's fucking dumb.

That's something that really hasn't been done. An unapologetic super-villain team-up movie where the hero is the antagonist. Suicide Squad kept attempting to portray them as heroic. He'll be venom, create the spidey suit out of his gay love for spiderman, and the suit will lead to a fight with spidey, where the suit will leave flash, get on spidey, promptly be rejected, go back to flash, and go berserk, before becoming an anti hero and tanking a hit for some innocents/spidey that'll separate the suit from flash.
End of the movie is the suit dripping onto brock, who will be a villain.

That is not a bad idea for a movie. Focusing on the 6 while never using peter and spider-man is used as antognist could be a great movie. I hope Feige and the MCU crack it and make it work. Sinister 6 in MCU works even better, where cameos and such happen.

Sinister 6 as a spin off of ASM2 was...... not a good idea, especially since the plot was "kill spider-man" . I mean, yea, that's generally the point of the 6 in the comics, but you need something else to drive the movie besides just action set pieces, you need a real narrative.
