Oh don't be so dramatic. It did change tones but it was never that bad. It's only 11 minutes long, and season 3 would mostly try to fit in 2 even 3 stories at a time. There wasn't enough time to get actually emotionally invested, just, "wouldn't this be kinda cool if we explored this further oh it's over"
