Pretty much.
Marvel has heard X-Men fans complain about the decrease in title quantity so they just threw as much shit as they could come up with with as little talent as they could get away with at the franchise and they're now hoping that'll settle things somehow.
Of course it's all ass-backwards as people have only asked for more titles in the vain hope that eventually one of them had to be better than the other mediocre or terrible books they've been putting out for the last few years.
