Bendis is a low bar but it's still poorly paced. I'm someone who didn't want it to be SBP (though I am a fan, just only wanted Johns to write him).

Basically the kidnapping shouldn't have been an issue on its own but at least you can argue that it had good emotion to it. This issue and the last one feel like they're doing things to take up space. Full pages on the reveal sequence there, here they use up a lot of spreads just for Mxy dicking around. Both situations are of course in character, but you can still chop it down and use the pages for something else. This week the Jon scenes between all that and maybe two of the meta scenes are all you really need.

And I'm not sure if the on-page recap is that necessary either but I know that one is an editorial thing that every DC book does.
