The problem with these clusterfuck arguments is Dragon Ball likes to show character strength by having strong characters beat the shit out of other strong characters, or having a strong character (usually Vegeta) piss themselves out of fear about fighting them. And then DC likes to show character strength by having characters do insanely unreasonable feats of strength/speed like lifting infinity or flying through a moon. So we have semi measurable feats of strength for DC but only arbitrary bullshit powerlevel readings for DB.

Also, there are more powerful characters in dragonball z. Characters that have destroyed multiple universes, such as the Omni King. Zamasu became one with the universe and was effectively omni present and the Omni King had to destroy the entire universe in that timeline to beat him. Just gives a little perspective on how strong whis can potentially be, considering his relation to the 5th strongest fighter in dragon ball, Whis's father, the Grand Priest.

Beerus has also been stated to be able to destroy an entire universe. Pre Crisis Superman has been shown withstanding the blast from the big bang. It is reasonable to assume that if beerus can destroy a universe, then whis is capable of at least the same feat, an more likely, even stronger feats. So if Whis is Universal class or higher, than I think he definitely has the power output to hurt superman.

Since you could compare goku and supes closely, then take in what Akira Toriyama saying for strength Goku is a 6, Beerus is a 10, and Whis is a 15. I'd say whis wins but we've never seen him at full power, most is him quickly knocking beerus out.
