Depends, do you like cute and colorful shit? If not, then no, it's pretty much the same. But if you mean does it stop being "I'm a day old and completely retarded" and build a pretty dynamic world with recurring elements and a plot with conflict and mostly resolution, then yes, it gets better.

The first half of the first set of episodes is closer to the first episode, then it picks up for the next half and the set of episodes that just released is where the elements have been established and the characters start developing as the story unfolds.

It's possible. We never seen Kia actually steal the trees, and then there was a tiny hint dropped that she couldn't do it alone. But who would both want to steal the trees, and be smart enough to frame Kiazuki?

On the other hand, she clearly never planned to use her spaceship to help Hemkas. If stealing the trees wasn't her plan for it, what it was?

I'll probably be a little slow, don't have a ton of free time, but I'll be working on character rigs while waiting for the next batch of episodes. I've already found a few vector references/materials online (though I'm struggling with pinpointing the hex colors of the emotions, Gaussian blur is applied and the base color is definitely based on the treasure trees and not hemkas, which they use gradients which has the same problems when color-picking).

I've also clipped audio phrases and SFX from the first batch of episodes, but isolating the vocals hasn't been easy for me. Especially the intro where the vocals are in stereo for some fucking reason.

When I get everything together, I'll have a resource pack to share; any contributions would be appreciated.

We can sssume they can use magic through practice, not naturally. The wristband is so they can notice when their emotions are activating the treasures. She tends to look at it before noticing that the tree making is active.
