Megatron will probably be a martyr for the Predacons in the long run. I don't think everything will be as peaceful as the BM ending implies. The Predacons will probably still be persecuted as they where implied to be before,probably more so for one of their own reigniting the war. Conversely, Predacons will be further encouraged to not stand for that because one of their own managed to accomplish so much. and despite the whole enslavement thing, there will be a lot of 'bots disgruntled about being made technoorganic who will romanticize Megatron's cause.
Maybe we could've seen that in Transtech, but it was not to be.

The Movie, the comics twice or thrice, and in Japan Optimus died right after being revived in Headmasters.

The BW writers weren't really able to watch much G1(not as convenient as downloading a torrent or going on dailymotion like you can today), so a lot of their info on Transformers came from the comics, which where probably easy to find backissues of. Hence why BW takes a lot of vestigial info from them. The g2 comic was then -recent and they probably saw Optimus die there, too.

CGI is expensive and Hasbro was cheap. Airrazor wasn't in the budget to get her Transmetal form, and Tigatron's toy was no longer produced. Also their plotline partly ended as their was no need to explore the planet as much anymore.

Rhinox in BM had reverted to his Predacon personality from Dark Designs. Although this wasn't Skir's intention, his personality and actions fit that character perfectly. It's also backed up by Silverbolt becoming a much darker character after serving as Jetstorm, indicating that they were altered into Predacond by a shell program, Megatron's virus or a combination of the two. Waspinator was already a Predacon to start with, so no change for him.

What I hate about Beast Machines insn't the fact that Maximal's characterization don't coincide with their Beast War personalities (Ratrapp a coward? c'mon), that the plot is tedious or that the robot forms are ugly as fuck. What I most hate is that Waspinator, who redeem himself in BW finale when he gives up about the war, is returned and he helps Megatron again like if that change never happens.
