I don't actually follow stuff for this fandom outside of whatever I happen to run across here or on other sites, but the size difference was immediately noticeable to me in recent screenshots. specifically the fact her body's now more or less the size of her head, with disproportionately long limbs too

also they seem to have gotten lazy with the hair. just looks like a helmet or some shit when they don't add the detail at the corners

She should have never been hired. AT would've stayed a fun episodic silly DnD show and Regular Show might not have degraded into relationshit trash if not taking inspiration from AT. No. I enjoy Star Vs, Pickle and Peanut, Wander Over Yonder,Gumball, Gravity Falls, Clarence, Loud House, Over the Garden Wall, and am looking forward to DuckTales. It's the spoiled fans who got hired as artists to destroy Adventure Time because they were trying to "continue" what Rebecca Sugar was doing that has created fanbases who write off every show that doesn't have "deep lore" and "character development". To the point where even South Park forces itself to have a season-long arc because I guess episodic is considered an outdated way of writing a tv series now.

Adventure Time was never about deep lore or relationships. Sugar pushed it and, surprise, every artist who tried to push it alongside her ended up clusterfucking up the show and causing it to drop in ratings to the point where CN had to shove TTG as their new flagship show because AT fell so far until it just went on non-stop hiatuses because it wasn't worth airing it anymore, kids lost interest when they pushed the episodes to be enjoyable for manchildren.

Also, CN struggles in the ratings because they appeal to an audience who their commercial sponsors don't give a shit about and who pirate their shows. There's a reason why Nickelodeon can sit on their ass and then accidentally find the new Spongebob while CN ruins their own potential Spongebob.

I would argue as early as Memories of Boom Boom mountain they started interjecting lore into the show and Finn lusting after Bubblegum was in the first fucking episode my dude. Yes Sugar played up those aspects but they weree there.

It's unprofessional to not have a height chart, and it is a choice on sugar's part to let everyone draw in their own style, and I would make an argument that the show's quality isn't the greatest due to it-- if anything, the show would be really improved if they were to at least set some ground rules for heights in comparison from character to character. However, it is hilarious to watch some people argue about it because their arguments amount to:

Seriously Steven as a WHOLE has changed drastically. Go watch the first few seasons and watch now, his voice has been pitched up, he talks much more timidly and his character is drawn way more squat and short. Not sure who's decision it was but it's very noticeable. It's odd because nobody else has really changed as much as Steven has.

The issue with the show is that they chose to make it follow Steven's viewpoint. If we got stuff where he wasn't there bringing down the average intelligence, we could have some really awesome stuff.

Imagine a scene where Lapis confronts Pearl about leaving her trapped in the mirror for centuries, without the two of them having to limit their words so they don't upset Steven. It would have the potential to be one of the show's best episodes, but with the current format it's impossible.
