So I decided to continue watching Clone Wars and now that I am at the last season (Lost Missions), I gotta say that this is one of the best cartoons that I have seen
>great storylines
>fun and detailed characters
>best female protagonist of any cartoon
>pretty great animations
>violence of war is shown all over the place
How the fuck did Lucas get away with this show and why the hell has no other cartoon character even come close to the goat-tier characterisation of Ahsoka?
I have never been sad while watching a cartoon show but when Ahsoka left, it really caught me off-guard
Am I just plain wrong or are any other current shows actually on the same level as this one?
Certainly better than Rebels.

really? I thought Rebels would be quite nice since there is more focus on jedi stuff
I have to admit though that I would have never thought that storylines about the clone troopers could be interesting but Lucas actually made clones have their own personalities and be interesting to the point that I didn't want any of them to die
>tfw Fives dies in the hands of his brother
that was one of the saddest moments in the entire show
>>90613044
>that webm
jesus fucking christ, this looks like some fanfic-tier idea. this is so ridiculous

Rebels is less focused on arcs, more episodic. Also a focus on a smaller cast. Like TCW, it takes a bit to build up, but by no means is it bad.Good soldiers follow orders

well I think that is a good thing. I am especially hyped for Ahsoka being in Rebels because she really grew on me
Also, it's nice that there is more Jedi-Sith action for a change and that I don't have to be pissed how everytime, the Chancellor is playing with everyone

When it's good, it's really good.
But the low points really bring it down.
>How the fuck did Lucas get away with this
He bankrolled the whole thing and didn't have to appease any corporate overlords worried about the marketability of their product.
>>90613044
That will never not be funny.

>Also, it's nice that there is more Jedi-Sith action for a change
Not really. If you're watching just for that, you'll be disappointed.

>But the low points really bring it down
yeah, there were some rather boring episodes (anything with C3PO) but other than that, a very solid show on all accounts
>He bankrolled the whole thing and didn't have to appease any corporate overlords worried about the marketability of their product
it is so retarded that marketing has come so far as that every show for children nowadays is some generic adhd shit when shows like this exist which clearly show that semi-serious shows can also be consistently profitable
>>90613352
what does the story focus on then? I thought there were like two or three jedi in the team
even though some of the stuff like the stupid inquisitor lightsaber and the webm from above look kind of stupid, I thought the fights should be on par with the ones from Clone Wars

A lot of it has been working towards the formation of the Rebellion. I'm not saying there aren't Jedi moments (and occasional duels), but they don't happen that frequently.
So I stopped watching shortly after they introduced Lando in Rebels and was wondering if it gets any better. Dont get me wrong, it wasn't BAD or anything, I just kinda lost interest.

It gets better, but I wouldn't say it gets as good as The Clone Wars.
>>90613644
It gets more interesting, but it's a really slow burn. Each season ramps up the difficulty for the Ghost Crew. The whole show is much better if you've watched TCW and are able to catch all the references. Season 3 has been the best so far, mainly on account ofDarth Maul STILL isn't deadand the Mandalorian arc. Pay-offs take a while if you're watching the episodes as they come out since most episodes in an arc don't come one after the other in Rebels. They're all spaced throughout the season
