Adult Swim has always been the arthouse experimental channel. Them wanting to try out new stuff isn't, well, new.

Not to mention while all of CN's live action game shows/ reality television were just awful Adult Swim has made some good shit with their live action stuff. Seriously, they're horror stuff is just fantastic and I wouldn't mind them having their own "American Horror Story" or "Tales of the Crypt".
