My knight and Me

It's honestly not half bad. Not something I'd DVR or make sure I never miss an episode of, but it's worth tuning into when it's on, and it's fun to watch drunk or high and pass the afternoon.

It's fine. It's a safe show, but then again, a lot of cartoons are being very safe right now. Sometimes the visuals are very stylish and nice, other times, the environments look like early PS1 era. I def think it's one of the better looking CG shows out there, though. Kid has an awful design, though.

I like that the older knight is the main character's father, though. Not enough kid show involve fun parents in the cast. They often end up being annoying obstacles of, "Don't get in trouuuuuble!", so it's nice here.

What do mean by safe? I'd agree on the setting and characters, Cat seems too much like a female Marco from Star vs TOO much, but I'm a sucker for medieval settings and lovable idiots like Henri. I quite like the animation style though, glad we're moving away from all the round Disney-ess (look at their ears). Having such a unique style seems the opposite of safe. Oh, and of course the little "imagination" sections where everything's 2d is fun.

Sometimes a little hackneyed, but I generally enjoy it. Henri is a great character, Jimmy depends on brains rather than brawn, & Kat is not entirely "I'm a princess but I kick ass". I like how each knight house is rooted in a color (orange, white, red) & the dragon's son is almost a stoner.

Safe as in, it won't challenge the viewer, it does very simplistic (Sometimes expected) jokes. Very basic plots, (Character A and B have a fight. They go their own path and then discover, they really need each other after all!). The baddie encounters are all silly and non-threatening. The slapstick is very light, it never goes to Amazing World of Gumball or Tom & Jerry levels of violence. The characters never SHOUT ANGRILY!! at each other like TTG characters would, because that would be "too mean". This isn't the type of show that'll have two random background characters reveal to be gay for example because they want to be as safe and non-controversial as possible.

To give you an example, a random bully character calls our hero a "lame-o" and the entire class went "OOOHH!".

I noticed those things too. It made me feel like this show is aimed at a distinctly younger audience than the other CN shows.

I like how it can't decide if it wants to be contemporary or medieval, with their smartphone/magic mirrors and their Ikea interior furnishing

I noticed that too, but I've gotta admit it does make for a few nice jokes, mostly the horses being cars.

It's ok. Nothing about it really stands out though. But for what it is it's not bad. Some of the animation though at times can look cheap, like moth movements they kinda have trouble with.
