Yeah, the humor was the weakest part of the film. I didn't like the beyonce thingie too, it made sense for the smartass guy to try and be funny though. The part where the Cloak stops Strange from heading to pick the axe was also awful. I won't go in detail in this post but I say they handled the origin pretty well, very enjoyable, though I personally felt it as a big ass commercial for a real Dr. Strange movie. Finishing the movie with Strange outsmarting Dormammu was great.

To each their own, but claiming Dr. Strange is worse than Thor 2 and Age of Ultron is just wrong, those movies were outright bad and also is surprising for you to claim that since by reading your post it seems the humor is what bothered you the most from Strange.

I'm actually really excited for Thor 3 because it looks like it's trying to be different. With so many fucking films ruled by dark monotone colors, seeing one that's bright and vibrant is really refreshing. I mean, if I took pictures from Avengers, Civil War, AoU and Winter Soldier, you'd have sworn they were the same film the way they're shot. Actually having vibrant colors brings a lot of life to the MCU that's needed.

Ant-Man had the Edgar Wright issue. Edgar Wright wanted to make a standalone film while Marvel wanted him to change the script and put in references connecting it to MCU. He didn't want to do that so he practically got kicked off the project after he had been working on it for about 8 years. If they would had let Edgar Wright do the film he wanted to do, I'm sure we would had gotten possibly the best MCU film of the bunch.

As for Doctor Strange they should had gotten Doc Hammer to write it. It still would have his signature humor and we would gotten something else than a run-of-the-mill Marvel flick. He's also a humongous Doctor Strange fan so he knows all the ins and outs of the characters and the universe.

Wait, people didn't like the Dark World? I loved it as a fantasy/sci-fi adventure, and I thought it was way better than the first space film. It was kind of dragged down by the romance shit, yeah, but not nearly as badly as the first film.

My biggest complaint with it was that Eccleston seemed real excited about the main villain having a load of backstory which then never made it into the film, but severely underdeveloped villains is pretty much a constant in the MCU.

I actually like the short hair here rather than that cover shot. I also am excited for it since I like the director and want to believe we'll get a good Thor film. The franchise hasn't burned me as much as the DCEU even though both films had their annoyingly underwhelming flaws.
