How popular was this show back in the 90s?

As popular as literally any other action show in the 90s

In retrospect it has lasted though, while shows at the time that were contemporaries as far as children were concerned back then are seen as crap (Street Sharks, Biker Mice, etc)

The first season was popular enough to justify a 52 episode second season which was popular enough for a 13 episode Goliath Chronicles extension (even though they decided to fire and replace everyone who had made the show successful).

it seems no one in europe has ever heard of it though, I did a strawpoll on who grew up watching it and where they were from and 9/10 were from the united states.
