I want to know why some people want Marco and Jackie to stay together for season 3. From a narrative stand point it doesn't make sense to have Marco spend so much time with Star if he's still with Jackie. Don't these people know what a boyfriend/girlfriend really is? Have they ever been in a relationship? Do they know what a plot device is? From my standpoint Marco will have to make a choice very soon, and Jackie isn't going to like it.

These choices and consequences is what makes a show have weight concerning drama, and this show has plenty of weight as is.

And Marco's plans for the summer vacation revolved around Star much more than around Jackie, according to the live stream.
So even though Marco's feelings for Jackie are romantic while his feelings for Star are only platonic (so far), the ones for Star are still a lot stronger. And I really don't see this fact changing any time soon, if ever.

They'll almost certainly get a relationship upgrade, since all signs seem to be pointing to that. That being said, it probably won't be until the very end of Season 3 or Season 4. Marco's going to need time to move on from Jackie and develop feelings for Star, and they still have to reunite in the first place. Then they have to actually...you know, get together. Which could be hard for the two of them to do.

Oskar, at this point, is pretty much used up. Star's already established she has no interest in him, so we won't be seeing him anymore.
