Not only has Mordo been appearing in Doctor Strange recently, but the scene you're talking about from Remender's Uncanny Avengers takes place at some non-specific point in the future. It was Kang time-traveling to that point in time (a point in time where Mordo had been dead for centuries and locked in a tomb after having been killed by Thor). Since that seen of Thor killing Mordo with Jarnbjorn and leaving Jarnbjorn in the tomb where he killed him hasn't happened yet means that it happens in the future.
