Fuck everyone who doesn't like this book. I've waited patiently to see what's so fucking wrong with Tynion's writing, and the ONLY bad thing he's done is turn Kate's dad into a bad guy (which I don't really care about but I can understand people who liked Batwoman being upset).

This book is bringing back the 90s Batfam in a good way, it has a great balance of characters, Batman is human and flawed, but still very competent, and previous bullshit events like Lady Shiva jobbing are retconned out. Honestly I'm enjoying the shit out of this and hope it keeps going for many years. Clayface is the best new Bat ally

To be honest, I really didn't like Shiva in that arc. Far as I can remember, they never explained why she'd agreed to fight Canary against her own wishes, and the whole "embarrass her into fighting Huntress" thing felt awkward and janky. Simone's Shiva in those latter days read like someone too bound by vague notions of honor or duty, and that doesn't fit her at all. Doesn't help that Simone did something similar in Secret Six a few months ago, either.
That said, I could read eighty straight pages of Benes' Shiva beating the shit out of people.

I agree the plot of End Run is silly, but that single issue where Shiva fights Huntress felt really solid. Embarrassing her into fighting Helena was really just an excuse, because Huntress knew Shiva didn't really want to fight Dinah.
