I finally finished the show. It's pretty good. I'm a fan. How long until I devolve into shipping and husbando posting? Because that's all i'm seeing here. <3

Literally my only gripes with this show are:
A: Why the fuck are their special space ships or whatever you wanna call em "Lions"? Like what is even the backstory. I understand there's some spiritual/magical shit involved, but why are they four legged mammals?
B: Mech fighting (and four cats becoming a big mech) is like watching paint dry. That ending with Voltron and Zarkon's armor fighting was like "oh yeah cool lets watch some floating dudes slap each other, wow how climactic and personal" I mean it's alright just doesn't tickle my willy for whatever reason. I guess it seems silly or out of place for how serious the show is, besides Lance, Hunk, and Coran being goofy.

Then again yeah, I understand they're keeping true to the original or whatever.

It's true, though. I'm not siding with the Kallura people, but what Studio Mir employees ship or draw in their spare time has no bearing on the actual show. Barlee (storyboard artsit) and cteez (character designer) are both huge Klancefags, and barlee has drawn Klance art. Does that mean Klance will be canon? Chris Palmer drew "Shiro loves you, baby", and Lance with Allura. Does that mean Sheith and Allurance will happen? And so on. I'm not arguing against Kallura happening, but anti-Kallura people would be right if they said that this isn't proof of anything.

It's a popular speculation that it was originally a Shiro/Keith scene, but was given to Lance. They even forgot to edit out Lance's arm in the healing pod scene in the beginning of the next episode, meaning he wasn't supposed to be the one in the healing pod.
