I'm betting more on the latter happening and a "Team Marco" forming involving the people trying to help Star. Both because it makes sense for a number of characters (even Jackie, as she probably still does consider Star a friend but would be even more worried about losing Marco to her) and because it allows for some comedy and drama to play out (Toffee would love turning them on each other). Ideally, Spider and Eagle join "Team Marco" too since they got stranded on Earth and want to get Ludo back.

It's a given that Star is going to learn a bit more about the monster-mewman conflicts, stuff about Toffee, and plenty of magic stuff. She'll need something to balance the bits of suffering she's going through. I imagine Baby will take up a mentor role for a few episodes for a comedic side while Moon is potentially going to be a more serious but earnest mentor as Star learns more about her butterfly form, have some genuine mother-daughter bonding (which can lead to some heartbreak for them both; she DID make Star leave Earth and all her friends).

I think we can safely assume that everything Ludo did in episodes that don't feature him talking to the wand, like Wand to Wand and Bon Bon the Birthday Clown, is a result of him having gotten gud from his time in the wild. He came up with those plans himself.

I think he knows for sure SOMETHING happened after reading the book (Glossaryck's gone, wand doesn't work, implied toll on physical and mental health) but not what it is. At this moment he's unaware Toffee was his wand and is possessing him.

I was disappointed they went that route at first, but I think the finale episodes left us with some potentially interesting paths to take it. His reaction to finding he's been used by Toffee again, the way the possession and presumably eventually being thrown away will affect him, and what path he'll take after this.

I think the fact that Toffee still sees and uses Ludo as his pawn will be part of his downfall, as Ludo as gotten more competent outside of his influence and is now likely to switch sides in the future.

Star has definitely felt confused and conflicted about how she feels about Marco.
She "has a crush" on both Marco and Oskar during "Sleepover", but she doesn't feel the same way about them.
She's infatuated with Oskar, in the same way Marco was with Jackie, which is the usual way that a "crush" is understood. She also has romantic feelings for Marco, her close best friend, which is a different kind of love but it can still be called a "crush."
