I say that as someone who isn't a Green Lantern fan. I've always found the idea of the Green Lantern Corp really lame. I just can't get on board with any part of their mythology really. But with Kyle the Corp was all fucking dead and Kyle was just this kind of random dude who got the ring (I know they retconned that later, but at the time it was a whole "you'll do" thing).

I liked that Kyle didn't really have a support network and had to work shit out on his own.

But again, this is from someone who isn't a fan of Green Lantern. So I'm only really talking for other non-Green Lantern fans who might not have read Green Lantern, but may still enjoy Kyle's stuff.
