yeah i am. vigilante justice has been part of all cultures at some point. militias and "watchmen" were always standing up to local criminals. even now there are vigilantes working across the world, in mexico and in SEA. those are just the organised ones, but locally there are many men who stand up to other men, be it by protecting a friend or a stranger, by beating up muggers.

uncle morrison put it best, crime is an idea, you need to come up with a better idea to stop it. the police are a good idea, but sometimes not enough. especially when there are crime groups who know how to avoid the law and often times work with authorities. then if you give a shit about it go for more unconventional methods, warring on criminals with whatever tools you need to bring them down, altough murdering them isn't always necessary
