I loved it, better than anything we've seen from the MCU or DCEU.

A few minor gripes for me include the lack of a good bonding scene between Laura and Logan which made Laura crying at the end feel a little forced, how getting asylum in Canada, where the Weapon X project originated, would stop a powerful criminal corporation with it's own stealthy private militia, and smaller things like Laura having a heavy accent when other kids didn't, or how making the cross into an X was a bit too cheesy for my taste.

Man, how refreshing is it to see a Marvel film where the stakes aren't apocalyptic? Like, there was no world-spanning threat of an ultimate evil, or an army or anything of the sort. Well, it was implied with the whole mass production of mutants, but it's not the center of the conflict

Xavier also complains that Caliban never talks to him. Caliban knows Xavier was used, feels guilty about it, but never told him so Xavier never knew and he thinks it's all his fault. That's why he stays back to help care for Xavier, he feels guilt.

Solid western movie.

The sword in the hideout was to imply the wolverine happened in this timeline. So why didn't he just have his Japanese princess hide him, Xavier, and calihan?

It was a highly schizophrenic film. Much of it was a slower, more introspective character piece, and that worked really well. But then we had these stupid big action setpieces that for the most part added nothing to the film.

This especially became a problem in the third act, and made the whole thing feel way longer than it needed to be, because two hours and thirty minutes is just plain too long already, even without the aforementioned fairly dull shit.

A lot of that action and plot in general became fairly dull because it lacked a truly personal tie to Logan for a lot of it. The Laura stuff worked, but the other kids drug on.

In addition, X-24 was stupid as hell and clearly took the spot of Sabertooth which would have actually added real emotional impact to the characters at the end of their lives, tie up Logan's full life right at the end, and keep the metaphor that the creators were going for just as intact, even improve it since Sabertooth and Wolverine have direct personal history we've seen to build off of.

But it had some great stuff. Overall i'd give it a 7/10, that has true potential with a better film just waiting inside it.

Jean-slaughters her, only to rewrite history and have her with Cyclops
Rouge- Generally disengages from him after being disgusted with her power, despite everything he has tried to do to convince her otherwise. In the rewritten timeline she is happy but probably doesn't want much to do with Logan.
Charles- treats him like his own son, logan witnesses multiple deaths of him.
Magneto- Toys with him in all timelines, torturing him by yanking on his metal bones- also attempts to drown him.
Etc ect.
