I think the fact that Star told Marco he was lying about being from Scandinavia pretty much killed the chances of him being in another episode. That was revealed in the new book. So if they put him in an episode now they have to either ignore the book or show Marco getting mad at him for lying, which would confuse viewers who haven't read the book.

If it wasn't for that, I could see him appearing in S03E01, since the Diazes always seem to have a revolving slot of exchange students and he wouldn't need to fear Star since she's in another dimension now.
