Irken height is a really weird thing.

Red and Purple are about in Zim's age group but were just as short as everyone else until the previous tallest croaked. They also mention one of the Invaders growing since Operation Impending Doom 1, which landed him a spot on a better invasion planet.

That said there are probably a number of factors that could explain their increased height. Cybernetic enhancements, growth hormones from human food, gravity...it's not that farfetched.
