For all we know amethyst are equal to peridots which would make getting along with a jasper easier on a mission because they could share opinions with one another openly without breaking rank. Horrible knowledge of color theory + lack of understanding of the show's color palette. The show's characters are meant to have bright and vivid with a good amount of contrast, but then you have them making Lapis look like a shadow by making her hair and skin and dress barely different shades of dark blue and hardly trying to use different brightness levels or hues that compliment each other.

Peridot and Lapis should both be between Quartzes and Rubies.

Both are essentially low level mission specialists - Peridots managing technology, Lapis's managing terraforming efforts. Bizmuths between that level and Rubies. Nephrites (sp? - ship pilots like Centipeetle) would probably be between Peridots/Lapises and Quartzes.

I disagree. Agates seem to be the highest ranking gems beside diamonds thus far. Also Rose Quartz likely don't all heal like Rose does. We've seen plenty of different gem powers, that vary gem to gem so its likely the other roses had various powers that were related to healing and/or morale to fighting as quartz tend to be the most likely use.

Getting back to Agates, They seem to be leaders or higher ranking officials depending on the diamond they serve under. I have a theory that sugar was trying to reference legates with the name.

Just try to imagine the logistics of everyone in town fusing. Fusion requires a certain amount of synchronization between partners that just cannot be maintained by a few dozen untrained individuals much less a few hundred. Combined with the stresses of life or death combat, something the vast majority of them will be experiencing for the first time, and the very real possibility that their homes could be destroyed, any townie-Crystal Gem fusion would last maybe 20 seconds before they fall apart. This would force the townies into an uncontrolled drop from several dozen feet in the air, killing or injuring a good portion of them.

I think Sapphires are valued and revered for their ability. I don't think sapphires are higher then Agates its just there is a deep respect for sapphires because what they represent to the diamonds a powerful tool in plotting the next move. I feel like the thinkers are definitely BD's court. A ton of evidence points toward BD's end of things to be more diplomatic/tactics/strategy. Where as YD seems to be more into Tech dev and information gathering.

I agree about the political commissars bit but I still feel like they are basically the seconds to their diamond's.
