I just watch the Llorona movie and it wasn't that bad, the story, characters design and background art were ok, but the animation is the only really bad thing about the movie and also the comedy was bland, The movie felt like one of Scooby Doo. It was nice to see some of the Mexican folklore and of course Teodora was the good girl.

I just watch las momias(zombies) movie and is practically the same in quality:
story, characters and background art, but the animation improved just a little, but still bad, and of course the comedy was bland AF most of the time but it made me chuckle a few times.
The new alebrije was awful and the calaveritas unnecessary.

Teodora was best, a little annoying, but still good.

There's some neat stuff in there, cool animation in the dream sequences, great designs for horrible scar-your-kids monsters and fun usage of cultural mythologies.

Ultimately the show is still about a goofy kid who screams all the time and his goofy retard friends who bumble their way through everything, also a goofy not-snarf dinosaur thing.

It ends up just being really at odds with its good parts most of the time.

But still much better than most of the actual kids show so out there, this one just doesn't elevate at all like say, avatar or trollhunters or whatever, because it's got no good character work.
