Homemade Nedroid thread?
>>90373187
Needs work.
Made this one for the last thread right before it died.
>>90373291
So did he ever get back to that anon who sent him all those strips from the thread about a month ago?
>>90373291
Kek, I hadn't seen that one.
>>90373345
I want to know that too.
Barring some occasional hyper-realistic art I can't tell any of these from the real thing. I know Reginald and Beartato isn't a hard comic to write but these are just as good.
>>90373345
This ones actually pretty great. Good job, anon.
>>90373317
Ha, nice!
Is this any good?
>>90377040
I like this one a lot.
My personal favorite
>>90373317
Post the other one
>>90377014
Yeah it's pretty good.
Better then the one I did.
How are these so fucking good?
Why is Nedroid so fucking good?
HOW?
>>90379027
Oh god, this one is perfect.
>>90373345
That was me. I sent them to his gmail. It says on his site, "I am really bad at responding to emails so please don’t take it personally." So who knows whether he checks that email often, or if he just doesn't like to reply, or if he was so disgusted by our work that he will never draw Nedroid again?
>>90380200
Is he on twitter? Maybe we could @ him.
>>90380274
He is indeedHoly shit he's in Indianapolis too
>>90380332
Go find him, bring him some small shitty plastic diamonds.
>>90380413
I'm not going to let /co/ talk me into being a stalker again

There's this particular mix between comfy realism and disturbing surrealism that Neodroid nails to comedic effect. It's great at taking borderline cliche set ups, taking them to the next level, and then stepping back and playing it completely straight.
The stock neodroid set up is usually something like
Mundane Premise | Predictable setup
Surreal escalation | Realistic outcome
Once you understand that and the basic character dynamics, the rest is easy.

(cont.)
To apply it to Loss, it would likely be something like
Ethan in waiting room | Doctor rushes in
Baby dancing on window sill | Falls, Loss.jpg
It's an exaggeration, and obviously the character and set up don't quite work a la Neodroid (this is more of a Cyanide and Happiness comic than anything else), but that's how it's typically paced.

That model works pretty well

>Panel 1:
Reginald is cutting through Beartato's backyard on roller skates. A sign on the yard says "Don't walk on the grass".
Reginald: Beartato! Beartato! You've got to see this!
>Panel 2
Reginald approaches Beartato's house and (while still some distance away) sees his friend crying. He kicks off his roller skates and rushes forward on foot. A second sign reads "running on the grass also isn't cool!"
Reginald: Oh no! Beartato's in trouble! I've got to help him!
>Panel 3
As Reginald gets closer he sees that Beartato is simply cutting up some onions with a knife. He breathes a sigh of relief. A sign reads "And no bicycles!"
Reginald: Oh he's just cutting up an onion.
>Panel 4
The perspective changes to the interior of the kitchen. Reginald is now walking away from the house past his rollerskates still discarded on the lawn. From the interior of the kitchen we see Beartato cutting onions and crying while being held at gunpoint by a robber in a cliche white and black horizontal striped jumpsuit.
I'm like 75% sure I stole this joke from somewhere, I initially thought it was Nedroid but apparently it wasn't. Any anons want to give it a shot?
>>90381617
That hot pockets one almost feels like it could be a SBaHJ comic
>>90380688
Wait, is this a fan comic or a real one?
>>90382782
real one.
>>90373187
I laughed.
