I think all of clips from the trailer were taken from the first episode or two. They probably spend the first few episodes setting up the main characters before introducing any villains.

Not bad so far. David Tennant's voice is pretty good too.

I kinda like the new voices for the boys, the old ones kinda got grating over the years. Good to see Donald's is the same though. Also, FINALLY Donald is a main character.

Just saying Tennet doesn't have the voice of an old scots man and it boosts the artificial feeling of an already pretty badly cast voice cast. The one thing you see throughout this entire thread is people unsure just how the voicing and characterization will be for the show, with the exclusion of the only character they kept with a pretty conventional voice. Tennet might get better, he might get worse. The cynic in me thinks the only reason they cast him was for star power, even with him being an already talented voice actor in his own right.

Also you seem to underestimate just how many actors are in Hollywood alone, not to mention around the world. Not that hard to pull a Northern Shakespearean actor to do voice work.

This is probably going to be the same as We Bare Bears for me

The voices are annoying sometimes, the plot seems aright, seems like it can be heartfelt sometimes, and the action can be decent, and the look seems fun, but both have the "modern" issue with modern jokes and acting-styles. Just a bit too kid geared but can still have it's mature moments without being straight-forward stories.

It'll be one of those secondary things I'll watch after each 3 episodes come out or so.

Anything by Carl Barks works fine. Apart from Donald and the nephews, he created nearly everything you see in duck comics. His stories are classics and he was a highly influential creator. There's not a lot of continuity or references to other stories in his works, so you can read pretty much anything you want in whichever order you want.

"Life and Times" is considered Rosa's magnum opus, but most of his other works are really good too. It's best to try to read his stories in the release order though; his stuff had some continuity.

He's pretty talented when it comes to voice work (lots of people watched Doctor Who without realizing he's scottish), he also seems to want to try everything. He's done theatre, movies, TV as a hero lead and as a villain, makes sense he'd try his hand at voice acting.

GF was the only reason I didn't say it's a dead format, I think there are a few other cartoons but I'm not a broad person, I just settled on a few 2010 cartoons and watched them, shame they're almost all ended by now

This one seemed to have a faster pace from what I could tell compared to any given scene in GF aside from a big battle. It also seemed to have a decent amount of jokes at the same time, which while it's an ad for the whole series and there's not enough to base it on yet, having more jokes usually means they don't have enough on the plot, so it just needs to be rounded out. Have to see a clip later to tell, but by then we may know.

As for the rest of the trailer. I'm optimistic, but not by much. The Nephews sound off and Scrooge... While I admire Tenant's attempt, Scrooge just sounds young. The adventure just feels like GF upped by 100, and I get the feeling Webby's going to be my most hated character in this series (which is sad, because I didn't really mind her in the 80s cartoon. Maybe because Bubba existed).

I'm glad Donald's appearing in a more prominent role, however.

The general setup is that there's circa three Beagle Boys focused on Duckburg, but they're part of a huge family of identical Beagle Boys. From there, more is added depending on medium and context. Brazillians added at least one more normally, who was really unlucky. Brazillians and Italians also often add a grandpa one, based on Barks', who leads them. S-Coded stories, then used by Brazil and Italy, added a ton of gimmick ones- most common of them, Intellectual Beagle, who's basically the Beagle's own Gyro. Then Ducktales has its own bunch of gimmicky fucks- a big brute, one that's always eating, etc, led by Ma Beagle.
