But cartoons from the early to mid 2000s exceed any other decade with shows such as XMen Evolution Samurai Jack Danny Phantom Kim Possible Avatar KND TMNT (2003) Justice League/Unlimited Teen Titans and more and so much more the 90s nostlgia really needs to fade away cos the shows from the 90s aen't as good as you remember it to be.

The Loud House isn't that good. You compare it to the shows of the 2000s as a selling point, but they had their fair share of surrealism, from the classic turn of the century Cartoon Cartoons (Dexter's Lab, PPG, and the works) to the overexaggerated SOL craziness of Ed Edd n Eddy, Courage, and Grim Adventures.

It has charm, sure, but it's mostly just nostalgia pandering to the good ol' days of family sitcoms and Sunday morning comics than an actually worthwhile new entry into the Nicktoons canon (not that it's a particularly good canon to begin with).

It's only big on /co/ for three reasons.

That last reason is why it's also so controversial on /co/ despite being such a conventional and straightforward show.

Wander Over Yonder is a better example of a modern adaption of the early 2000s style of cartoons, and if you want to see other examples of SOL shows done in the more "modern" style you could look at Clarence, We Bare Bears, and to a lesser extent Gumball.

I never understood the hate for this show. I'm not a pedofag or an incestfag. I watch the show because it's a comfy slice of life with funny jokes here and there. It's the type of show I watch when I want a break from the lore intense shows I usually watch.

Nice to point out Gumball in that post as in many ways, Loud House is an extension of S1 Gumball. Like Loud House, S1 Gumball had massive opportunities due to its concept but it squandered it on cliched plots, cookie cutter characters and the main character being tormented all the time. This all combined to make a show that is only a little bit better than mediocre. Only when the show went on a complete comedy and genre change in S2 did things start turning around for the better.
