In that case the coloration of the nose is being used to indicate a certain physical trait that IRL old people often have. Look up rhinophyma if you want to know more. A character having a discolored nose for a specific reason, like sickness or age, is different from Tumblr Nose.

Honestly they're both fine. Also they've around way fucking longer than people around here like to admit. Longer than any of us have probably been alive.

Both of these things are fine when they suit the style they're used in conjunction with. Bean-mouths are incredibly inoffensive and it really only looks stand-out bad on realistic or really angular characters. Coloured noses are more situational, it looks bad in shit like >>90310982 and >>90311230 but looks completely fine in >>90314754 >>90314875 and >>90314887

The nose, definitely. I can understand a slight reddish/pinkish tinge, but not full-blown red. It's really distracting.

I can sometimes understand nose coloring like in the style of Over the Garden Wall and Animal Crossing, cause it looks like raggedy anne/puppet-like. But when the art style gets closer to how humans actually look, it;s distracting for me and makes the character look like they have a cold
