Have a nice lunch, /co/?
To prepare for Wednesday's rebirth of the Man of Tomorrow, I'm gonna storytime stories leading up to it.
Today's Storytime will include
>Justice League #52
>Action Comics #957-#966
>Superman #1-7 (May go up to 9 depending on thread sizes)
Previous threads:
Part one: >>90220073
Part two: >>90252255
We're gonna have to read twice as much to catch up to Reborn today, so hold on!
This issue and Superman Rebirth were swapped around in the previous Primer.
Rebirth gives a nice recap of DAROS here: >>90257652
This was one of my many gripes with DSWar. Lots of plot threads introduced for an issue then dropped (Captain Cold is in part 1 then vanishes).
Can't believe Superwoman immediately picked it up.
Later on, I'm gonna have to drop a single cover image to fit Superman #5 in the thread. Will use said thread as the next OP image.
Anyone have preference?

dr. Doom is looking spiffy. We are like 70% sure this is not Ozymandias, right?
>>90282945
And this was a stupid gripe since they literally picked up on it a month later.
>>90283730
Lena betrayed Lex as a cliffhanger at the end of part one, then is never seen again.
Ultraman returns then dies the same issue.

Was that in the extended preview, or is Rich spoiling stuff for page views again?

uh, haven't been involved with dc in ages, what's up with luthor, he a cyborg now?
>>90284246
Apokoliptian (sp?) armor IIRC.
As someone who always thought Superman was boring, Jesus fuck, this is awesome.
>>90284368
This run of Action Comics gets better over time, methinks. This first arc is a bit recappy, but it's lessened due to the biweekly schedule.

what part is awesome to you compared to what you thought was boring before?

ripip beard, you were majestic.

Hey, is it time to stick that Snickers ad in here?
>>90284501
I recall so many Superbro/Wonderwoman fans being so angry in the storytime thread for this
>>90284550
But they're all fags, so who cares!
>>90284424
My experience with Superman was mostly through a bunch of old comics. Some were good, like some the Electric Blue Superman I had and a few more issues sometime after that, but a majority of them were bland. Although this series is making me want to go back and see if I was just a dumb kid that didn't know what I was thinking.
>>90284550
Which is stupid, did they think ww was gonna steal someones husband that wasn't even the man she loved? Anyway, Manpaul handled the situation better in Trinity.
Used the regular cover as the OP image.
>>90284879
Just wait until we get to the Superman-proper issues. They have been fantastic
>>90284882
They didn't like that she said "It feels true" in this. It was handled much, much better in Trinity, but then again, that has been the entirety of Trinity so far: repairing and introducing new relationships
>>90284550
I recall the opposite. I think it was fairly well received that they weren't gonna squeeze out drama.
>>90285163
I looked up the thread, and there were happy people. I think I must remember someone posting that page out of context with a "wat did they mean by this" kind of shitpost later

and now we have one of the MVP's of Rebirth

Saving the regular cover for the next OP (to fit all 250 images.)

It's stuff like this that feels off. If Superman is aware that this world feels different and that this is a different lex yet he still picks a fight with the guy.
>>90283796
>>90283817
I like how Lois is basically more traumatized by Doomsday than Superman. It makes sense considering Supes just blacked out and then woke up a month later, while she had her then-fiance die in her arms.
>>90286062
So can anyone come up with a reason why Krypto has morphed into a dog now?
>>90285977
His dad was just the same.
>>90296433
Manhattan did it.
>>90285057
LET'S BEYBLAAAADE
>>90296279
The last time Superman saw Lex, I believe, was that time that Lex successfully obtained UNLIMITED COSMIC POWER, with the one caveat that he couldn't use it for petty vengeance on superman. He couldn't handle it, and blew himself up.
>>90282690
I still don't understand (other than for plot purposes) the Daily Planet would have ended up with something like Superbro's cape. For one thing, the Justice League was there when he passed and there's no reason they would give something like that so that it could so easily end up with someone else.

This is pretty standard for plots either designed by or written by The Cereal King (an example of a plot designed would be the entire New Krypton story line cross over disaster, which was just 12 months + of crap, plot armor when it was convenient and plot devices galore, that all lead up to virtually nothing except for 12 months of GROUNDED).
>>90286284
no, we're better

The moon has no atmosphere. Subs are made for multiple atmospheres of pressure. That makes no sense. And why is there dust being kicked up by them flying by aa if there was air?
