It was a pseudo-documentary on how black people treat each other because of how they're portrayed in the media.
>>

Do you have any idea what the Alt-Right actually is? They're white ethno-nationalists. White Identity politics is their game. Just because Milo tried to hijack the term doesn't mean Trump is alt-right, especially considering his ties to Israel and the fact his daughter converted.

Bannon is certainly alt-right, and he's been given a key position within the trump administration. Even if trump himself is not alt-right, it doesn't seem like a stretch to say that he's courting the alt-right crowd.

I'll agree that they can't be happy about how pro-Israel he is
>>
>>90280873
Race and nations are two separate things. If a while man feels xenophobia for Ireland, is that racist? Of course not.

Though the idea that Nationalism = Xenophobia is an inherently flawed argument perpetrated by people who want to villify Nationalism. These types of strategies succeed due to people mindlessly regurgitating these talking points.
>>

Donald Trump has a long, long history of political beliefs. You can go back as far as the 80s for video footage of him discussing his beliefs.

This Bannon/Priebus nonsense was literally invented by the media a few months ago. You are absolutely a sheep.
>>
>>90280961
I think you mean the argument that nationalism = racism.

By definition nationalism and xenophobia are two sides of the same kind, a preference for people from your own nation and a dislike of people from other nations.

I honestly don't even understand what you were trying to say in your post. Mind taking another crack at it?

>>
>>90280489
>Dear Black People
>a documentary
It was based on a Twitter account, which is less than being based on a true story.
>>
>>90280792
The movie focused on 4 black people in college. A gay freshman, a half white black activist who was secretly dating a white guy, a brown noser who was trying to get into a mostly white fraternity because his dads career topped out underneath a mediocre white classmate, and this stuck up girl who is trying to become famous or something and completely rejects black culture.

I liked it when I watched it. Ithe was pretty even-handed. From what I remember it discussed race rather fairly and I think the 'bad' guy was just a kind of dumb troll and not racist, and at least one white guy was sympathetic (boyfriend).
>>
>>90281007
You don't have to dislike people from other countries to favor your own nation.

No, but you are saying that you feel better about people in your own nation than you do about outsiders. That, by definition, is xenophobia. it doesn't have to be an outward, hateful stance to be xenophobic

>A scholarly definition of xenophobia, according to Andreas Wimmer, is "an element of a political struggle about who has the right to be cared for by the state and society: a fight for the collective goods of the modern state". In other words, xenophobia arises when people feel that their entitlement to benefit from the government is being subverted by other people's rights

Huh, it almost seems like going past literally the first thing that comes up on Google can give a person a deeper understanding of what the fuck they are trying to talk about
>>
>>90281211
Yup. And illegal immigrant is a race and holding doors for women is sexist.

What a world.
>>
>>90281007
>By definition nationalism and xenophobia are two sides of the same kind, a preference for people from your own nation and a dislike of people from other nations

That's not racism
And why shouldn't I prefer people of my own nation? Shouldn't I want them to succeed? To be able to make their lives better and the lives of their families better?
And why do I have to have positive feelings about any nation that is not my own? Most of the time I slide in-between a strong indifference to a sizable annoyance at most other nations, hell, that's the same feeling I have for my own.
>>
>>90281267
Andrea Wimmer is literally an anti-nationalist propagandist. Look him up.

Huh, it's almost as if you can find someone with the same skewed opinion as you on the internet.

You brought up the dictionary. That's what I used. You quoted someone with an extreme political stance for your definition.
>>
>>90281210
No, but I think you're being naive is you think the advisors don't wield a tremendous amount of control over the pres.

I'm sure you'll just call fake news on this, but leak after leak keeps coming out about how Donald doesn't really do much work as the president. So who is doing the work.

If it is true that Trump was unaware that he was putting Bannon on the Nation Security Council, then that, to me, paints of picture of Bannon pulling the strings on an uninterested president.

Think of Dick Cheney and George W. Someone was writing policy while all that brush was getting cleared
>>

>>90281287
You don't understand. It is a moral duty to care for others as one would one's family and nation. You're to have no preference for those like you unless you're a minority then it is justified to have in-group bias.
>>
>>90281406
>I'm sure you'll just call fake news on this, but leak after leak keeps coming out about how Donald doesn't really do much work as the president. So who is doing the work.

Let me tell you something. I've followed Donald Trump is some capacity or another for years. To call him an "uninterested president" who "doesn't really do much work" tells me you know absolutely nothing about the man that didn't come from the mainstream media over this last year.

While I agree that advisers have an influence to an extent, you know so very little about this extremely hard-working man to ever make a judgement like that.

A little advice. When the media says "sources confirm" or "sources tell us," and there are no names for these sources, it is more than likely fake news.

If you're trying to propagandize using comics you're about 50 years too late.

Marvel swung hard to the left because of misguided pandering, not insidious social engineering. And because they refused to believe the constantly reiterated message that the people they're pandering to don't and won't buy comics, sales went over a cliff.

You do realize that it's the same thing, yes? That large corporations are caving to various vocal minorities, because they think it would generate them more profit. They're wrong of course, but it is social engineering, obv.
>>
>>90281520
>I'll agree he seemed interested on the campaign trail, give me an example from when he was in office.
>Stop just telling me I'm ignorant and educate me

He has, in 30 days, already began to make good on his campaign promises, like them or not.

For example:
>Withdrew from TPP
>Greenlit construction of the border wall to curb illegal immigration
>Blocked transfer of federal funds to foreign abortion nonprofits
>Ordered a freeze on federal hiring other than military, public safety, and public health positions
>Ordered preparation to repeal and replace Obamacare
>ended the halt on the Dakota Access and Keystone oil pipelines
>Ended the "catch and release" policy on detained criminal aliens
>ended federal funding to sanctuary cities
>negotiated with major corporations to save or create jobs
>working on a new executive order to meet the objections to his previous so-called "travel ban" as a precursor to a better system of vetting immigrants

And more. Donald Trump works non-stop-- the man hardly sleeps. He has done more in his first month as President than most do in their first year or more. To say that he's disinterested in being president or that he doesn't really put in much work is completely ridiculous.
>>

>Sure Donald could have been heavily involved in every one of these decisions, but there is no telling if he actually was. You're talking about trump the administration, when I'm talking about trump the man. Certainly the administration has been busy, but how active in is the man in the administration. The leaks paint one picture, one you claimed to know was wrong.

>How do you know that the press is wrong when they paint him as a compulsive tweeter who binge watches cable news? He does tweet a lot, and he frequently tweets about things in Fox News

He does Tweet a lot. He does watch the news a lot.

For decades, everyone surrounding Trump has talked about how little he sleeps, how much he works, that he's all about taking action. That may not be proof enough for you, but take a look at the man's life. He is a self-made billionaire who could have retired decades ago but instead chose to live the 100% hands-on life he lives now. Add to that a year of non-stop campaigning, multiple daily rallies, up late every night, up early every morning, as evidenced by his interview and appearance schedule. All while his good name (and it was a very good name until he decided to run for President) was dragged through the mud by the heavily left-leaning media.

But the proof, if you actually pay attention, is right in front of you. The man is in constant contact with the people. His actions are documented non-stop. If you want to believe a conspiracy theory that someone else is pulling the strings despite no evidence of that, while everything points to the contrary, is there really anything that I can say to change that? I see a man who is out there making good on all the things he has been talking about for years. You're chasing the boogeyman.
>>
>>90282286
>He's not very smart tho, if he does what he says and implements Term Limits, it would be easier to force Republicans out of the house

Running the country is not about boxing out all opposition. Implementing term limits is what's right for the country. You might not see that from the other side, but shouting down and blocking people with differing opinions is not what we're about.
