What do you watch with your kids?
>>
I gotta admit, having Nick Jr. on can be very relaxing. I like Bubble Guppies. Mike the knight isn't bad. Everything else is too bland tor me to have an opinion on. except mlp which I still like.

Dem preschool toons have some hot bitches, I tell you what.
>>
>>90275123
MLP is more like 6 to 10 or so.
>>
>>90275367
It's just a meme, and if we learned anything in the past year, it's that memes matter more than reality.

>newfags being newfags
It was first ironic, then to troll because some people had autistic rage reactions to it, then for meme mining, then people liked a lot of the songs, and then there was a lot of OC, then there was porn and then the autists came and it went down hill.

I'm saying people call MLP a preschool cartoon because it's a meme to call it such. MLP was never a preschool cartoon.

It was a genuinely good show. Was being the operative word. Had it been the same show, with original characters not related to My Little Pony, /co/ would never have had reason to hate on it like they did.

The Lion Guard has 21 minute episodes that focus on a singular story in each episode. In some ways, it treats its plots with more respect than Cartoon Network's TV PG cartoons.

Aw, get over yourself. Don't act as if the first season had anything going on over the latter seasons besides the novelty factor.

I just feel like, when Twilight became an alicorn princess, it was a slap in the face to what Lauren Faust originally envisioned. She left the show citing a loss of creative control. It was clear that Hasbro wanted to push the show in specific directions to sell more toys.

Maybe the newer episodes are okay. Maybe the writers are still doing a decent job telling stories. But it would be the equivalent of painting a beautiful picture and then adding in the McDonalds logo into the background. It's still a good picture, but you've sold out.
>>
My niece loves paw patrol. It's not bad so I guess I lucked out. Also likes some show about a dragon that looks like it has a purposely low frame rate to give it a claymation feel. Can't remember it's name but pretty sure it's a sprout show.

Fucking cunts ruined Shimmer & Shine with CG garbage. Not only they took a shit on a cute little artstyle, they've also completely changed the formula introducing some forced villain, giving Leah and Zack genie powers and other bullshit I won't mention.

Justin Time.

But its kind of sad because the kid just hangs out with two imaginary friends all day on adventures. One is a little yellow monster thing, and one is a cute girl his own age.

Like, he literally created his perfect imaginary waifu, and hangs out with her.

>The show revolves around the adventures of Justin. In every episode, Justin encounters a real-world problem of everyday childhood (such as sharing, teamwork, or paying attention). Then Justin and his imaginary shape-shifting sidekick Squidgy solve the problems by tackling them in imaginary adventures through time and around the world. In every adventure, Justin and Squidgy meet their best friend Olive, who always lives in the place and time they are visiting, and who usually needs their help to accomplish a task. In actuality Olive, much like Squidgy, is merely a figment of Justin's imagination. Together, the three of them encounter the same problem that Justin faces in the real world, and together they solve the problem before Justin's parents call him back to the real world.

Speaking as an actual parent, Nick Jr. is pretty good. Unlike Disney Jr., their stuff is both entertaining and educational. Paw Patrol is huge, as well as Shimmer and Shine. But those are largely for entertainment value. Bubble Gubbies and Team Umizoomi are good entertaining educational shows. I really like Wallykazam for a preschool kid since it leans a tad older than the other shows.

I don't have kids but I have young siblings, and I always try to watch TV with them, in case they want to talk about it or have some questions. It's a nice bonding moment.

Peppa Pig and Ben & Holly are top tier shows. They're actually funny.

Max and Ruby, Mike the Knight and Henry Hugglemonster are not bad, too (decent plot that is tolerable). So is Doc Mcstuffins (cute toy characters that children would actually want to interact with).

Sofia the First has interesting character designs and world, but has atrocious stories. Paw Patrol has run-off-the-mill kid plot, but the dogs are hella cute (no surprise a lot of kids like it).

Kate and Mim-mim is slightly annoying.
