It's a bit of a stretch but hopefully DC actually beating Marvel Studio's in something will stir their pants enough that they'll begin making their own practical effects and prosthetics, which in turn may influence other big studios to do the same.

I'm 90% sure one day all high budgeted films will be fully animated in the sense they are fully CGI with faceand motion capture.
This would be in the far off future when it just becomes cheaper to have mediocre handsome actors and have the animators do the acting for them.
