To begin with the Anime/Comics references were low level to non-existent, plus filled with mistakes, while this is a major plot that is filling a ton of time and strips. So much so that two of the main characters are getting it on on the "side plot" and get 1 every 4 pages of this.

It's because the strip literally cannot seem to stop adding new characters. There are probably 40 different characters in this fucked up love 4th dimensional sphere, and there is a 0% chance they will focus on expanding those characters when they could just add a new character instead.
