How /co/ is this?

>Animatrix
It's a Anime made for America
I watchex this nonstop when it was new. I remember liking some of yhe shorts but not all of them.
I've always been a big fan of this. Honestly some of the shorts hold up better than the second and third films.
The Animatrix came out at a weird time where anime was gaining traction in American pop culture but still hadn't reached critical mass yet. It's an interesting marker for an interesting time if nothing else.

It does what the film tried to poorly.
It explains that most those AI/machines are -people- made out of data, metal and plastic and not meat. They are not soulless insectoids.

It always touched on a question I always had about advanced artificial intelligence.
Making them emulate humans cognitively is absurdly cruel. After all you give a machine jobs to tedious or dangerous for flesh and blood humans. The shit jobs. This thing with a simulated human mind is forced to be a slave. Of course they ain't gonna be happy. What if it says "I don't want to do this any more." Would you shut it down?! That's murder.

Peter Chung did a segment and he's pretty /co/

Thus if something ever crosses the line into genuine emulated human consciousness it should be granted all the inalienable rights of an organic human.

It's arguably the greatest /co/ thing there is.

Ha, you know their rights will be infringed on, and they'll stand up for themselves. The Animatrix plotted a likely course for the future.
lol just kidding. once ai gets smarter than us it'll make our lives wonderful.
I always wanted /ss/ with these two
pls no judge
The Matrix > The Animatrix > The Matrix: Reloaded > The Matrix: Revolution
And Path of Neo was a surprisingly fun game.
Reminder that the song "Conga Fury" that played during the CGI fightscene was in Mortal Kombat: Annihilation first.

/ss/ is patrician
It always bothered me that the machines manage to take over the world and figure out how to use humans as a power source, even going so far as to make an elaborate illusion of reality just to keep them in line...but they can't figure out how to get rid of the nanobots blocking the sun.

Like half of it
