Problem with Gumball is that it being a kids cartoon restricts a lot of issues that can be tackled in PG/PG-13 cartoons.
The time given per each episode of Gumball also hurts the show.

It's how they interact with others. When the Belcher's are out of their personal bubble and have to interact with others, they tend to start more problems than they can solve.
I'll admit that they aren't totally psychotic, but they have issues when trying to confront problems together. Most of these issues tend to hurt Bob the most.

Nope. It's one of the best modern cartoons on CN that has good comedic timing, imagination, very self aware and is not bogged down by love triangles.

It's no Monty Python, but it's way better than what you give it credit for.
