Black Cat was definitely one of the characters among Spidey's inner circle that got hit hard with some serious character assassination. First was Quesada with OMD turning back the clock on all her character development prior to the event, and arguably becoming worse that even her initial appearance in the comics thanks to writers not knowing how to fucking write her competently, and THEN Slott made it worse by having SpOck deck her and cart her off to Rykers, where she literally went batshit insane and decided to be a villain for the most contrived and retarded reasons.
