I definitely agree with people who think Kallura has the best chance of becoming canon, especially considering their development this season, and because they were a thing in previous Voltrons. I don't understand people who think that it's 100% inevitable and that everyone who thinks otherwise is an idiot, though. The creators changed a lot of things in this series. Allura is a brown space elf, Pidge is a girl, Keith is part-Galra. They changed the line-up of the pilots, and while they might revert it to the original line-up, it's still a pretty big difference from the original, where Shirogane/Sven was never the pilot of the Black Lion like Shiro is.

And I won't even get started on all the changes to the plot, the characters' personalities and backstories (they're pretty much completely new characters with the same names as in original Voltron) and the team dynamic. What makes you think romance is the only part of the show where the writers will be 100% faithful to the original, when they had no problem modifying or even completely changing everything else?

What are the chances that Lotor piloted red? Since red was on Zarkon's ship, he probably had a fallen out with his father and ditched Voltron.
They could also use this to explain how Allura already knows about him, since maybe Lotor had a crush on her before Zarkon turned.

Which ones? All I remember was Tim mentioning that Keith and Allura will get emotional interactions, which happened this season, but nothing mentioning romance between them. Kimberly saying she would date Keith doesn't mean her character will. And the comment about relationships developing slowly was very general, and didn't mention any specifics.

The only thing that made me pause was Steven's comment when he started talking about romance for no reason, that was kinda suspicious. Other than that, I don't see any hints.
