How is Brooklyn Miles' turf I thought he lived in The Bronx? Shouldn't novice webslingers stick to patrolling Manhattan where all the tall skyscrapers make it alot easier to learn how to web-swing? The thing with Miles is that due to a general dislike of him and Bendis any attempt to shove him in these relationships lately comes off as an attempt to leech off of the popularity of other characters. The sameish effect was coming out when he was being shipped with Kamala with different arguments. The current popular reaction to Miles/Gwen is "Holy shit is that statutory rape?"
In reality it's more like Bendis is trying to appeal to whom he thinks his audience is via asserting a form of hypermasculinity in a scrawny teenager. (See all these women? they want his dick Doesn't that make him awesome?!)
Peter and others built up their massive harem charts over time while Bendis is trying to establish that he's cool and hip like his "fellow teenagers" in a shorter period coupled with mass decompression. TLDR it's just written really bad.
This isn't even the first interacial relationship Miles has had. I don't recall anyone noticing him and Ultimate Hawkeye. The only negative backlash here was from having Miles hit her when her parents were the ones that did everything.

While /co/ isn't monolithic there are at least many examples in the other direction like Ewing and the fact that he's basically had an almost entirely black superhero team praised as one of the best comics out there for the last few years without any of the things you see on other threads.
One of /co/'s favorite ships of all time is Misty and Danny. The mere fact that it was not allowed to be is a travesty of the highest order.

Now there is one other possible factor I heard about. Apparently the rest of 4chan may have slightly mindbroken /pol/ via spamming them with interacial cuck porn in retaliation for /pol/ being /pol/.

Bendis really has only suggested that Miles potential love interests at this point are Bombshell, Spider-Gwen, and maybe Danika Hart. That's three girls and of the three only the two super heroines have a serious shot. I'd hardly call that Bendis creating a HAREM for Miles.

Also the only reason why it appeared Miles was shipped with Kamala was because they were on the same team. And Miles has only subtly been suggested to like her. A relationship between them is basically impossible. Honestly, I think Miles and Gwen make more sense than Miles and Kamala. Miles and Gwen have more in common than he and Ms. Marvel do.

Miles doesn't have a girlfriend. He asked that girl Julie out and they were supposed to go on a date but he stood her up. As such they don't talk anymore.

She likes Miles, that is obvious.They've been through quite a bit together. Miles isn't quite sure of what he feels for her at this point but generally speaking he seems to be beginning to like her.

And you forgot one. Displaced Jean Grey. Miles has a crush on her.

So in almost 6 years of publication Miles has been teased with essentially 7 girls. We've followed Miles from age 13 to 17. 7 teased interests in four years of his life isn't that many in my opinion, especially for someone like Miles.

17 and 19 isn't that big of a deal. And in New York it is perfectly legal. And Wilson Ms. Marvel's writer herself wrote that story about Miles and the fanfic for the annual. I wouldn't put much stock into that.

It's alot when you factor in how cramped the timeline for his arcs gets. This whole arc put together has yet to even reach 24 hours.
The other arcs only consist of a few hours each. Kamala and Ultimate Hawkgirl are the only people that he's spent more than 24 hours socializing with and the majority of that time is either inferred or resulted from everyone else getting a chance to write Miles.
So while it's 6 years of publication it ends up feeling like 6 weeks. The only reason we've had any passage of time at all is because of the 8 month gap after secret wars.

The Civil War II Arc before this current arc lasted for about a week. The arc before that with Black Cat lasted about a couple weeks. So in all it's been about a month for this current run.

In Miles first volume the arcs covered a few months. In his second volume those arcs covered about two months. So in almost 6 years of publication it feels more like 8 months not 6 weeks.

Miles and Jean Grey spent more than a day together when Miles helped her during their crossover. Miles and Bombshell have spent far more time together than he and Kamala. I can show you some of the scans from Miles and Bombshells moments. Ultimate Kate Bishop spent the longest time with him. All in all for Miles 7 teased interests for Miles like I said really isn't that much.

I have the exact same problem with trades.
The ideas in it and the universe itself is fun but it badly needs a person that can expand upon everything properly. Marvel kind of lacks writers that can really expand upon (or decently write) the stuff her universe casually throws out.
It's ok enough that I wouldn't say it's bad or anything and it's entertaining enough. I would however say that the entire universe is bait for some continuitymancer even half as good as Ewing that's also a music buff to just go insane with.
TLDR she and her world are interesting but they seriously need to do a proper job of running with it.

Her universe seems REALLY interesting, far more so, than like...1610, and instead of so many trash books, I'd rather have some titles set there.
fuck, ship off a mainline character to that earth and let them explore or something, anything, but Spider-Gwen is one of the most interesting/most potential books Marvel has right now, and its a shame, it's not a 10/10
