The Imakandi - Due to their powerful sense in team work as hunters. Had they gone at Jack one at a time, I think he would have managed a win bit by bit.

The Minions of Set - Due to Jack not being able to cut and vanquish them with his sword, he had to rely on the prophecy that summons Ra since only Godly power was his only means of survival. They didn't manage to KO him but they sure did manage to give him a beating.

The whole point of Jack being shown in the trailers using more futuristic weapons is that he's progressing and evolving and becoming more and more like the Guardian.

The Imakandi won by using ambush tactics and really good stealth/stalking skill. Also Jack was new to the perils of the future tat is Aku and wasn't constantly on-guard, like he is in later seasons.

I think the minions of Set were also fast/strong enough that they were able to overpower Jack and beat the shit out of him. He was flat-out outmatched. Even one-on-one he probably would have had to run away.

When Jack and the gangsters teamed up to steal that water diamond thing, IIRC one of the gangsters KO'd Jack with a club or something when he wasn't looking, technically defeating Jack with one hit.

The Ultrabots beat him due to their durability. He escaped and got a robot arm, which let him destroy all but one, but then he had to pray for deus ex machina to kill the last one. In a vacuum he couldn't have beaten them.

Aku beat jack in the episode with all the zombies, even took his goddamn sword away. Aku had him pinned and attemped to deliver the final blow, only for Jack to survive due to the particulars of the sword's magic. Had Aku just stabbed him with a claw or used an eyebeam or something Jack would have died.

When Jack and the Scotsman fought in the first episode it came down to an exhaustion-induced stalemate. A tie counts for like half a defeat, right?

In the episode with the anime thief guy in the white suit, he escaped the temple with the loot and left Jack behind to die. Jack was overwhelmed by the hordes of robots and shit, and likely would have died if the thief dude hadn't come back for him.
