Back in early 2015 she said she didn't ship Marco and Star, seeing them as "just friends," and some fandom people got annoyed, as they do. Unclear then if she knew Star would eventually be written to have a crush on Marco or if she's unhappy with that development now.

She also doesn't really respond to fans asking about the show on Twitter, make posts about it, or really interact with the fandom in any way besides showing up to panels at Comic Con and such. There was one time where Disney/Daron announced that Daron, Adam, and Eden would be answering questions on Twitter about Star Vs., and although Eden was advertised to be doing it like half an hour before it began, she never showed up.

It's pretty understandable if she just doesn't want to go down the fandom rabbit hole, and of course she has no obligation to at all. But compared to other people it does sort of give off the impression that she doesn't particularly give a fuck about the show, whether that's true or not.

Her work as Star is legitimately great either way.

I marathoned this at a suggestion. Holy shit, this show is really enjoyable. It's the perfect blend of comedy, light-heartedness, drama, and lore. Really like the characters and world that was built. Favorite character is definitely Ludo. Ludo-centric episodes leave me rolling.

As far as shipping goes, I started of Starco, but now I'm team Jarco for life. Star and Marco just seem like they work better as friends, and anytime romance is introduced between them, it feels forced. Jackie feels like she's good for Marco, that and he loved her forever. I'm happy for him. I kinda regret the Blood Moon thing binding Star and Marco's souls, because of that, but I'm sure that sub-plot will be resolved.

I recently watched this show too at a recommendation from a friend. After swearing off TV in general for 2 years now I'm impressed how emotionally invested I am in this series.

As for shipping, I really connect with Marco because I too had a good friendship with a girl like Star and I too had a huge crush with a girl like Jackie for several years.

In "Crystal Clear" we see Eclipsa hidden in plain sight among the monsters that Rhombulus has frozen in crystal over the centuries. It's been established his powers are weakening since magic is "on the fritz", so there's a lot of speculation about her breaking free in the finale, and whether or not Toffee is actively planning to do this.
