>Villain is ridiculous and can be downright hilarious
>They're still a threatening enemy to the heroes
The best kind of villain.
>>90089095
>Villain dies/is defeated
>They don't suddenly cease to exist in the memory of the heroes
>Even after their arc is long over, their actions and words are remembered and they're still taken seriously as one of the greatest threats the heroes had ever known
>>90089095
>sequel is released
>their sibling we never heard of appears
>villain is genuinely charming, friendly, and goofyI hate how Varrick stopped being a villain after season 2

The more tense episodes were usually not directly caused by Aku, it was usually a third party or someone actually competent hired by Aku like the lion hunters.

Never happened on Western animation.

>Old one-off overpowered villain comes back in later season and loses against the heroes in a fair fight to show how much stronger they've gotten
>>90089762
Huh, well I'll be, an episode I've somehow not watched.
>>90089095
>villain is a joke

I don't want to spoil too much, but it does provide some interesting questions about how Jack's sword works.
>>90089095
In all his forms really, not just the fat one
>>90089095
This is exactly why I liked Luthor in BvS.
>>90089991
I didn't like how in the end he just came off as a puppet of darkseid that lost his sanity long ago. Doesn't leave much potential to do more with him.
>>90089095
And that's why this guy is one of my favorite supervillians.
>>90089991
I liked Eisenberg's performance a lot and I enjoyed some of his dialogue but I hated his plan and the way he was utilized in the film.
>>90090057
This guy is fucking gold. R&C is my favorite cartoon.
>THIS ISN'T FUNNY LAWRENCEEEE
>>90089095
>villain and hero keep with flirting banter
>not just fucking and getting it over already
>>90092393
There's zero chance Aku didn't fuck him during the journey. "To keep up appearances."
>>90089443
Did this happen anywhere outside of WoY?
>Villain and Hero are fighting
>Hero almost dies somehow but villain saves him
>Only so he can continue to wail on the Hero some more
>>90089306
Yeah, it was forced. As soon as the writers realized he was popular they tried to capitalize on it, but in the process ruined what made him great.
>>90092709
had to get those seven daughters from somewhere.
>Villain is complex, human and has internal conflict while still being wholly despicable and unsympathetic
>>90089095
>Villain treats his minions well.
>Minions act like bros to each other and are willing to sacrifice themselves.

Joker was dead in Batman Beyond, but the show made it a point that he was such a big deal that he stuck around as an icon. (even before he actually did come back)

BALLS DEEP SAMURAI
>retired villain
>normal suburban baby boomer
>has hobbies like gardening and birdwatching
>has a secret trophy room
>full of guns and swords and bombs
>his old costume hung up for him to look at
>friendly to neighborhood kids
>implied he could snap back to villainy any time
>>90089991
He seemed fine as a villain but he didn't really feel like Luthor at all.

Man, I don't know what's crazier, this or the identity of The Beast.
>>90094313Ultimate power...

>>90089095
>villain is serene and seemingly likable at the first glance
>can take someone's life and generally commit horrible crimes with as much ease as breathing
>>90094384
The Beast was honestly called by people immediately after the first game, then dismissed because everyone thought it was too obvious. I seem to be in the minority in feeling that inFamous 2 was complete and utter garbage, and you're better off just skipping to Second Son and pretending the second game never happened.

>>90094804
Love this sort of shit. The intro to a show getting "hijacked" by the villain immediately tells you this shit's gonna be wild. Of course a GOAT show like Brave and the Bold would do one.The JoJo Part 3 & 4 anime have really raised the bar on this kind of thing. The final version of Great Days that goes backwards through the whole thing again and totally changes the meaning of a lot of the visual metaphors in the normal OP is incredible.
>hero and villain are good friends, fights are "just business"
>>90095468
>tfw you listened to the full version of Great Days and it ripped you off that was probably going to happen
>>90089095
>Character is bogstandard cliche but are written so entertainingly that they loop back around into immensely enjoyable

I remember Teen Titans did the theme hijack with the HIVE in the "Light Speed" episode.
