The flashback got a little silly with Lucy going from writhing in pain to sitting up and shouting and the whole "Augustus is totally calling the rape squad wait no it's just an ambulance" thing landed a bit flat. He's not really credible as a potential threat and of course if he had handed her to Alejandro she wouldn't have come back at all.

Agreed. If this comic was a science experiment, Sue would be the control sample. Her entire existence is "How would a normal person react in this situation?": the character.

She only gets just enough development to justify that fact that she isn't background art, but removed enough so that people can joke that she's background art. Yet somehow, in a comic where the only interesting content is the drama, she manages to still be my favorite.
