Ned Leeds surviving is a huge fucking no brainer, especially since there is a HUGE amount of material to work with for him coming back. Between Betty and Flash and Peter, they could mine that drama for a good while.

That one LARPer's idea of having Ned becoming a heroic Hobgoblin with Richard Fisk as his sidekick is also another good idea. Give Christopher Priest the book (his version of Fisk/Rose as an anti-villain trying to overthrow his dad and notion that Ned became Hobgoblin simply to help Fisk do so) could make for a great book, especially since they are now giving Kingpin his own little sub-line of books.
